Christie’s Names Julien Pradels as Regional President of the Americas
Christie’s, the prestigious global auction house, has appointed Julien Pradels as its new Regional President for the Americas. His leadership role is effective immediately, following the promotion of Bonnie Brennan to Chief Executive Officer in February 2025.
Pradels, a seasoned executive with over 14 years at Christie’s, has held key positions across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He played a significant role in launching Christie’s first-ever Shanghai auction in 2013 and has been a driving force behind the company’s modernization efforts.
In his new capacity, Pradels will be responsible for guiding strategic initiatives, overseeing operations, and fostering growth across North and South America. He steps into the position after Brennan’s tenure, during which the region saw notable expansion, contributing nearly half of Christie’s global auction sales.
Expressing enthusiasm for his new role, Pradels stated, “I am excited to collaborate with our talented teams, drive innovation, and further strengthen our market position.”
His appointment comes at a crucial time for the auction industry, as Christie’s navigates a shifting market landscape. With his extensive experience and forward-thinking approach, Pradels is expected to lead the Americas division toward continued success.
